FILM BIO:
Zuzana Hudackova grew up in the former Czechoslovakia, and became increasingly involved with photography, film and visual arts after her family moved to Canada. She graduated from the Film Studies program at Ryerson, and went on to complete numerous short films, ranging from documentaries to avant-garde, experimental and commercial projects.
The Shadow Behind won Best Documentary at the Toronto Student Shorts International Film Festival in 2003, and the annual Cine Franco Film Festival in Canada selected her promotional festival trailer in a film-student competition for their 2003 season. Her thesis short film, The Room, won her a grant from the French Consulate to attend the International Film Festival in Cannes in 2005. The short film also screened at the Warsaw International Film Festival. Recently Zuzana completed a documentary film Heaven Or Not as a recipient of the NFB & TVO Documentary Calling Card Program, which aired on TVO in May of 2008. Her latest work, commissioned by a Toronto based commercial production house Sons & Daughters, is a promotional video for the Ontario Science Centre, which helped raise funds at the 2008 OSC Innovators' Charity Ball.
